LSLI has an immediate opening in our Hempstead office for a full-time paralegal in the Nassau County Pro Bono Project with an emphasis on screening potential clients of our services including bankruptcy, etc. The Pro Bono Project, working with the Nassau County Bar Association, coordinates a pro bono panel of volunteer lawyers to provide legal services for eligible clients of the program.
The Successful Candidate
- Paralegal training or college degree or appropriate prior experience
- excellent oral communication and writing skills
- proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook
- strong attention to detail and organiztional ability to prioritize and multi-task
- demonstrated commitment to the goals and clients of the legal services program
- bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred
