Pro Bono Partnership seeks a staff attorney, ideally with employment law experience, for a hybrid work position, working approximately two days per week out of our Parsippany office. This is full-time position at 37.5 hours/week; Pro Bono Partnership is open to considering a part-time role at 30 hours/week.
This individual will work under the supervision of the New Jersey Program Director and serve nonprofits throughout New Jersey. Specific responsibilities include:
- Represent and advise NJ nonprofit organizations on a variety of employment law matters, and other legal matters relevant to the nonprofit sector;
- Support and oversee matters placed with volunteer attorneys;
- Screen potential nonprofit clients for eligibility, and to identify their business legal needs;
- Assist with client outreach activities and help to create strategic alliances in the nonprofit community;
- Assist with volunteer outreach efforts as needed;
- Assist with the creation of client alerts and publications on legal topics relevant to the nonprofit sector;
- Design and teach seminars on legal issues for nonprofits and volunteer attorneys;
- Assist with program administration; and
- Perform other duties as directed by the New Jersey Program Director.
