Moray & Agnew have an exciting, brand new opportunity for a Graduate Lawyer with up to one year post-admission experience to join our Pro Bono team on a full-time basis. This role can be based in Sydney, Melbourne, Newcastle, Brisbane or Canberra.

Working closely with our Pro Bono Senior Associate, this role will see you providing legal advice across a wide variety of interesting pro bono matters, and will play a vital role in expanding access to justice for the communities in which we work and live. In addition to providing legal services, you will play a part in developing relationships with the community and not-for-profit sector to support the firm in achieving its pro bono targets.

The Successful Candidate

To be successful in this role, you will be a Law Graduate or admitted Lawyer with up to one year PAE. Ideally, you will have had some experience working in the Community Legal, Pro Bono or Not-for-Profit sector, and have a genuine passion and enthusiasm for providing Pro Bono legal services. In addition to your technical skills and your commitment to client care, some of the other skills we are looking for include:

• An ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously
• Excellent time management and the ability to prioritise, set and meet deadlines under pressure
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Self-confidence, initiative and good judgement
